The waves of glory will come. Glory, as it says in Romans 8, comes from the place of Suffering. Out of suffering we begin to see glory formed. So the fire will come to burn up the things that he does not desire. Persecution will come, negativity will come, backlash Against his move will come, but out of that will come waves of glory. So, even in the height of, of misunderstanding and shaking in the religious realm as well as the world, he will continue to pour out his glory, and I’m talking about weighty glory. Will come, the fear of the Lord will come.

Revival or bust right, that’s always been my cry. It’s been Lord, give me revival or give me death. I’ve shed so many tears over the subject and we’re seeing as Barry, we’re seeing college campuses, we’re seeing God pour out his spirit upon or among young people, but it doesn’t look like what we thought and who could make this stuff up? Jesus Revolution comes out on the very tail of this as very revival, and this movie has been in the making for seven years. Some would say that they planned it this way, though those Christians they. They planned it, they tried to make it that way, this way. But I want to tell you something. When God moves, no man can stop it. And I’ll tell you one thing God, he does it and we can’t make it up Now.

It was I don’t know many years ago that I was a youth pastor and God began to speak to me about a coming youth revival. And so, when I was a youth pastor, I was traveling and I was ministering, doing what? 24 hour worship and prayer gatherings all Over the nation. We were bringing together people of different churches, different denominations, coming together to center around one thing, and that’s the lamb worship him around the clock, without any kind of agenda or any kind of formula. But as a youth pastor, I would come back and I would see that my youth were not on Fire. They just wanted to play games, they wanted to have pizza parties and I wanted them to fast and pray.

So one Saturday, I was crying out to the Lord God, when will you release a youth revival? And all of a sudden, I saw a vision of my daughter, who at the time, was only 10 or so years old, and I have three daughters and they are three years apart, so this is my oldest daughter. I see a vision of her with her hands raised and tears Streaming down her face and I heard the Lord say when your daughters are teenagers, I will release a revival Among my children like the world is yet seen. Be patient and wait for me, for it’s coming and the sons and the daughters will run Together. Well, I want you to know that you may not care about how old my children are, but I fully care because I’ve been standing on that word all of these years. My oldest daughter that I saw in the vision will be 18 years old and going to college in this this summer. My middle daughter, it, will be 15 years old and my youngest daughter will be 12 years old. She’s 11 right now. So I believe that this is a benchmark moment where the Lord is fulfilling what he has promised.

If you’ve seen any of the other Revival or prophetic alerts on this page, you will know that I have already spoken of this revival, that God is moving through Gen Z. But this is what the Lord is saying. This is only the beginning. It will come and it will continue to come.

Asbury was just the beginning. That was an awakening of the release of the Holy Spirit into denominations who believe that he has ceased and pouring out his spirit. He is moving in the power and in mercy over denominations right now, that he wants to know that he is still blowing his wind even in this hour. He’s doing a reminder revival right now, and but what it’s going to do is it’s actually going to turn into a great shaking and waves of glory will come. So there will be shaking and there will be glory and there will be fire. What does that mean? The shaking actually begins to unlock things that need to be unlocked and break down things that need to be broken. We saw in the Asbury revival the sinking ship. We saw that the hand was off of any stardom, any famous voice. Nobody was given the platform that had any kind of clout, only the Lord and these humble students. The Lord is releasing a shaking. So even in the height of misunderstanding and shaking in the religious realm as well as the world, he will continue to pour out his glory and I’m talking about weighty glory will come. The fear of the Lord will come, and this is what the Lord is saying Between 2025 and 2026. There it will be a tsunami of awakening among Gen Z and it will be cross generational.

The Lord wants you to know that this is not just about generation Z. This is about also generation X. I hear the Lord saying generation X, generation X, generation X. I have broken theX off of you. I am releasing you from the place of feeling like the David in the field who has been overlooked. The Lord is saying I’m bringing you in as mothers and fathers to lock arms with Generation Z, as well as the millennial generation, to bring them into the maturity of the movement and maturity of discipleship, to be able to bring them in as those who are willing to eat meat and not only the milk of the word, and the other generations that are above Gen X. The Lord is saying I have not forgotten you, for this is a move where you will lock arms together. This is a move where teams will come together in humility.

The Lord is saying I am the head and those who are unwilling to allow me to bring them into connection with one another as a body who the gates of hell can’t prevail against. Those who are not willing, will not see the fullness of the promises for them personally, but the fullness of the promises of the kingdom will still come to pass. I heard the Lord say that Gen X circuit riders will burn with new fever. Gen X mothers and fathers will run with Gen Z sons and daughters and teach them how to be circuit riders and circuit breakers in humility and, in the same season, protecting their purity. I heard the Lord saying these circuit riders will not come forth as those in the past because they’re willing to submit to the leadership and wisdom and authority of an older generation who will prepare them to not lose their families and their relationships in the process of serving the Lord. For you will serve the Lord and not serve the idol of ministry in this season. Now, I’m not saying this is me talking. I’m not saying that some will not stumble and fall, because they will, but there will be a remnant who will run in purity, honor and holiness will be of deep value of these Gen Z voices. So I want to pray for you right now, if you are in the generation that I am speaking of, gen Z and Gen Alpha, which are the younger ones.

The Lord sees generations as the people upon the earth. He has chosen to pour out his spirit upon those who are willing to go low and to worship him in purity. The Lord sees and knows that you want something real, that you want something that is of him, that that no man can touch. I heard the Lord say he is doing a movement where he is putting together unhewn stones look that up in scripture unhewn stones or or altars that were made by rocks that weren’t cut by man. This was an Old Testament principle, and so, therefore, the Lord is Inviting you in this season, jen X and Jen Alpha, to allow him to pour himself into you, but do not let your heart be hardened.

Turn your hearts particularly to the generation X mothers and fathers who have walked through the seasons of hiddenness and who are willing to stay in hiddenness or go low and not buy into the idolatry of the ministry machine.

This is very important, even though you may not understand this language. Generation X leaders, you who have been hidden like David’s in the field or like Joshua’s in the presence, god is saying, or even like Daniel’s or Shadrach, meshach and Abednego. There’s so many examples, those of you who’ve remained hidden and remained alone, those of you who have even repented of being a part of things that you knew didn’t set right in your spirit. The Lord is saying that he is going to take all of the suffering of that season and he’s going to turn it into wisdom. Ask him for the seven-fold spirit of God to rest on you that you are able to disciple and mentor a generation into lowliness and also full submission to the spirit. And the Lord is asking you will you refuse to put your hands on my move, but only allow me to move through you in humility, in purity, and disciple a generation in the things of God? And for those of you that are in the older generation, I feel like the Lord, even now, is spotlighting you to honor you, the Jesus people movement. He’s honoring you in that movement.

But you have a wisdom to impart of the pitfalls of Lonnie Frisbee, the pitfalls that happened during that movement, to bring about even greater wisdom into the Gen Xers, who are going to begin to be mothers and fathers, to the Gen Zers, even millennials and the generation Alpha. There is hope. Hope is arising, but this is a movement where he’s taking you from being just a Christian into a witness of Christ. So, father, I thank you so much, for those that are watching, that you would seal this word of anything that was not of me, that you would pluck it out and not allow it to take root Everything that is of you, that you would allow it to go deep and allow it to connect with your scriptures, connect with your logos word. Let the Ramah connect with the logos and go root deep into the heart, cover, protect and purify us, even as we say yes to you in this hour in Jesus name.

America Burns: Civil Unrest, a Prophetic Sign, and an Invitation from the Lord

In early April, the Lord came to me in a series of dreams, visions, and encounters that all involved fire, storms, oil, and messages of worldwide shaking and waves of global revival. The Lord has focused His attention on the manifestation of His promises. He has allowed sifting and shaking to reveal our need for Him, not because He is some tyrant who is never satisfied with His people but because He has chosen for Himself a mighty generation to move through. God is preparing us for the unspoken cry of our hearts, the manifestation of the sons of God, and glory to cover the earth. He is also revealing sin and corruption that have long hindered love.

Recently, the Lord said:

“Headlines read ‘America burns, civil unrest, riots, and rebellion’; Still, I say she will burn with holy fire, civil righteousness, and humility—at the wave of My hand will come long-awaited revival and unity among the brethren. Watch and wait. The waves of shaking will continue, as will the waves of My glory, more than at any other time in history.”

I believe we are entering a minimum of three years of shaking and revival—the best of times and the worst of times, so to speak. I myself have been in a season of hiddenness, cleansing, and encounter. As I began to intercede and pray into this word from the Lord, I experienced internal shaking. We have entered into this new era that has been prophesied and will not return to the old. Our heavenly vision is becoming more precise, and the things that mattered before are growing dim. Prophetically speaking, the door to life as we knew it has been shut. The God of unapproachable light is shining, and the darkness will continue to be exposed.

In this moment of civil unrest in our nation, the following dream is significant as it brings clarity to this current wave of shaking:

A dense, dark green cloud covered the place where we were sheltered in place. With childlike amazement, I reached out to feel the texture of it as it draped over the canopy of the home where I stood with others, watching and waiting on the storm to pass. I remembered revival stories of the tangible glory of God manifesting, as I realized this was no storm but the protective cloud of the glory of the Lord. The cloud moved. Many who were standing with me ran, following the cloud, and left the shelter in wonder. When they hit the streets, they forgot about the glory cloud and began resuming life as before. As I watched, many excitedly started planning events. In the distance, I saw another dark cloud rapidly approaching—a mingle of fire and lightning, a furious storm filled with black smoke and raging fire. I began to warn the others, but few were willing to listen, rather, desiring to get back to life as usual. Strife then entered the brethren, and I saw civil unrest breaking out in the distance.

The Lord said, “The shaking will continue in waves, but so will My glory. Urge my people to stay covered by the shadow of My glory and not be distracted by the rage of Satan or his lies.”

Shakings lead to the fulfillment of long-awaited promises (Haggai 2, Psalm 2, Acts 2, Hebrews 12, etc.). The enemy’s plans are to destroy and harm, but the Lord comes in and raises a standard against him. We have received an unshakeable Kingdom, and in that, we can rejoice (Hebrews 12:26–27). The Lord will teach us more about His faithfulness in exposing corruption, injustice, and unrest. These things are the beginning of the global contractions in which the Lord had long ago intended to use to birth a great movement as well as His glorious return.

God has promised, “Once more I will shake not only the earth but heaven as well.” The words “once more” signify the removal of what can be shaken—that is, created things—so that the unshakable may remain. Therefore, since we are receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us be filled with gratitude, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, “for our God is a consuming fire” (Hebrews 12:29)

We must be careful to close our ears to the false political, social, and religious narratives and tune into the Lord’s voice. Fear, pride, and deception are tools of Satan to control, enrage, and manipulate humanity. Satan loves the brethren warring against one another, and uses corruption to destroy our faith in godly leadership, leading to terror and rebellion.

How do we counter the enemy’s devices and stand against oppression?

As the church unites in divine empathy, worship, and prayer, the glory of God will manifest, and we will witness Him begin to move. This can and should take place in the streets as well as in the secret place.  As in the dream, we must beware that in our excitement we’ll be tempted to run from His covering as we go into the streets, becoming distracted by ambitious plans and propaganda, soon filled with division and unbelief. Be still, stand watch, and discern Satan’s rage, rhetoric, and deception. Only move in sync with the glory and fire of the Lord and resist the Accuser. With intention, the Lord is maturing all who will humble themselves and trust Him. His plan is to protect and prepare us for times when “even the elect will be deceived” (Matthew 24:24). Our response to increased unrest and who we choose to believe will determine our ability to discern His voice as increased global shaking and revival continue to manifest. The past is gone. The Lord has shifted the globe into a new time. Do not look back. Stay close to the Lord, know His Word, and recognize His voice.

He says, “I am coming with spiritual violence. I am coming to gloriously judge everything that hinders love in this land and in the nations. I come with mighty waves of My glory, holy fire, and encounters of relentless love.” The movement of justice and kind judgment of the Lord is steady and unwavering. Fear not; the Lord is manifesting our hearts’ desires! The great harvest of souls and the mighty move of His Spirit has come. Let us take on the countenance of the Lord, who laughs at the plotting of feeble man against Him, His plan, and His Anointed One (Psalm 2:1-4).

He is never worried; therefore, neither should we be. He looks at His Son, as Satan rages, and laughs and says, “Ask of me, and I will give you the nations as your inheritance.” As the waves of shaking continue, the Lord will use the enemy’s plans to expose, judge, and remove corruption and injustice in His people and our systems, and harvest souls. He is an all-consuming fire yet delights in showing mercy. The ways of the Lord are good, just, and true. God will release waves of revival and glory and rebuild what was destroyed by the fires of rebellion against Him and His. Every eye will see, every tongue will confess, the Kingship of Jesus. Our hope cannot be found in the government of man but in that of the Lord (see Psalm 20:6-8).

We must turn our eyes from worthless things and false narratives. There is a call going forth to the oppressed to join the Lord around the throne of heaven. He is releasing an invitation to ascend higher into the realm of the spirit. He is saying, “Do not resist the shaking, for I am abasing the prideful and exposing the corrupt.”

America Will Burn Like Never Before & Harvest Is Coming

The fullness of sin and the fullness of souls mature together.  The wheat and tares grow together, but at harvest, the tares are separated from the wheat, and the chaff and tares are burned together (Matthew 13:24-30). The burning is twofold: the destruction of the false and the promised outpouring of the purifying glorious fire of God (see Matthew 3:11, Acts 2).

God uses the enemy’s plan for evil to bring forth the great move of His Spirit and to remove the land’s defilement (Revelation 19:19-21). Beloved, know that the movement of God is destroying the progress of the enemy. Healing will come, and a wounded, divided generation will be healed. America will burn with holy fire and relentless love. The Lord is a great defender who loves both mercy and justice. Minority cultures and oppressed people groups, our Father sees you and is working on your behalf. Trust in Him. Authorities of all spheres, God has anointed you to stand your post in righteousness; do not be moved. We need you to refuse to give in to the Enemy’s narrative. Our Father is a good defender.

The Lord is flushing demonic schemes into the open for all to see. We must be on guard and watchful over our hearts, knowing that even in shaking that we have an unshakable kingdom full of glory! Rejoice Always!

Voice of the Burning Ones

“The weighty glory of God filled the room as we sang and prayed in the Spirit. Tears streamed down his face as he fell to his knees and began to cry out in the presence of God. ‘I’ve done horrible things. I’ve kidnapped children. I’ve been involved in sex trafficking. I can hear their voices, I can see their faces, I can hear their cries. How could God ever forgive me for what I’ve done?’ I watched as Jesus saved an evil man’s soul. Forgiveness was being given to this man for things I didn’t know if I could even forgive. I have little girls, and you have little girls.”

Chris Burns, with tears in his eyes, recounts the miraculous salvation of a man who most of us would ask God to strike dead.

“To be clear, this man was not actively trafficking anyone to our knowledge; he was speaking of things he had done in the past,” Chris clarifies.

Chris Burns leads worship in the Saints and Sinners bar in New Orleans

A man by the name of Saul had a similar encounter with Jesus. He was en route to murder, arrest, and destroy believers in Christ. He was responsible for the brutal persecution of many Christians—men, women, and children. His encounter with Jesus’s presence physically blinded him yet caused his eyes to be spiritually opened. He was suddenly profoundly aware of his wretchedness. This man surrendered the rest of his life to preach the gospel. He endured persecution and beatings and eventually died as a martyr. We know this man as the great apostle—Paul.

Can it be that Saul-to-Paul conversions are beginning to spread like wildfire all over the earth? Jesus has been appearing to ISIS fighters, Kurds, and Muslims in the Middle East for many years now, and we are learning of their stories through worship leaders like Sean Feucht who risk their lives to enter refugee camps with guitars, the power of God, and the gospel.

Maybe the sound of intense worship, prayer, and releasing the glory of God in the darkest places of the earth is the key to ending sex trafficking. Could it be those wretched individuals encountering the beauty of the Lord are the firstfruits of the next awakening? Would the church embrace these conversions, or will we condemn the sinner even as the love of God falls?

As Chris shared, I was reminded of the story told by Jesus in Luke 18:13–14:

“But the tax collector stood at a distance, unwilling even to lift up his eyes to heaven. Instead, he beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner!’ I tell you, this man, rather than the Pharisee, went home justified. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”

How often have we cried out to the Lord to break into pedophile rings, end abortion, feed the hungry, and stop child abuse?

Could it be that the fire and glory of God are about to sweep the nations of the earth and shake every religious and political system and everything we thought we knew about the state of our own souls?

Will we find ourselves in the position of the Pharisee saying, “Thank you, God, that I am not like that man?” or, even worse, persecuting the messengers the Lord has sent into the dark places?

Excitement overwhelms our hearts as we pray for a much-anticipated revival, but are we really prepared in our hearts for sex traffickers to receive mercy instead of justice? If this doesn’t challenge us, our hearts have surely grown cold.

God Is Healing Hidden Trauma

Listen to the Full Interview with Chris Burns

Some 600 million people have been swept into the kingdom of God since 1906, when the Holy Spirit was poured afresh on the world through the Azusa Street Awakening. Historically, Azusa is considered one of the greatest movements of the Spirit of God since Pentecost. The weighty glory of the Lord would sweep into a room of nameless and faceless people on their knees in prayer. Drunks, drug addicts, prostitutes, and everyday people walking down the street would fall on their faces, repent of their sins, and be swept into heavenly encounters. As it was in biblical times when the Spirit swept into the land (1 Chronicles 7:2; 5:14; Acts 2; 1 Kings 8:11, etc.), no one was safe from the presence of God! The Lord revealed Himself with tangible fire, glory, and conviction.

For the past year, the glory of God has fallen in the Saints and Sinners bar on Bourbon Street in New Orleans. The weight of the glory and the fruit could be compared to Azusa. Countless people have wandered into the bar looking for a drink but found Holy Ghost fire, tangible glory, and salvation in Jesus Christ.

As Chris and the band sing and prayer warriors intercede, the Spirit of the Lord does the work. “Yes, there is alcohol.

It’s still a functioning bar,” Chris says. “We are not doing some hipster Jesus thing where we have a beer and sing songs. We are hosting the presence of God. Sometimes we forget we are in a bar because of the intensity of intercession through worship that is being released.” Chris and the team are living love-filled, set-apart lifestyles.

The next great move of God will exceed all others. Within the Lord’s messengers, the DNA of the Nazirite and the Shulamite must come together, meaning a humble, lovesick intimacy with Jesus that leads to a set-apart lifestyle, forming vessels fit for the Lord to pour Himself through.

  • Will we mobilize if we know what we must face?

  • Will we receive the wretched into the kingdom as readily as the beautiful?

  • The glory of the Lord will fill barrooms and prayer rooms, stadiums and tents, homes and churches, but will we yield to the fire as it purifies our hearts and to the glory that reveals our pride?

  • The invitation is open to all, but are we willing to humble ourselves enough to receive it?

God Is Healing Hidden Trauma

God is healing Hidden Trauma in His Messengers!

When you are called to birth something that can only glorify God, you may endure a time of barrenness and provocation from your adversary. You might suffer accusations from friends, family, and even religious leaders in your life. The torment of seeming fruitlessness can press you into abandoning the desire for the earthly blessing. But it is never the desire of the Lord for you to lose faith.

In 1 Samuel 1, the mother of the prophet Samuel helps us see the struggle of barrenness and the process of birthing something in which only God could get the credit. When Hannah couldn’t conceive in the natural, she became a lightning rod for God’s glory.

“But to Hannah, he gave a double portion because he loved her though the LORD had closed her womb, her rival would provoke her and taunt her severely. And this went on year after year. Whenever Hannah went up to the house of the LORD, her rival taunted her until she wept and would not eat” (1 Samuel 1:5-7).

Hannah’s husband could not comfort her with earthly love or a double-portion blessing.

Seasons that lack visible fruit will stretch you. They will cause you to pray, fast, and seek the Lord, casting out things not of eternal value. Even a double-portion temporal blessing will not comfort your aching heart. This frustration becomes a groaning for justice on the earth. This is a good thing (Romans 8:26).

God is at work, removing the deep wounds suffered from being misunderstood, rejected, accused, and abandoned during the season of seeming barrenness. He is ministering deeply to His children and shining the light of His glory, exposing the hidden pain and delivering those dear to His heart! Your sorrow and pain do not go unseen.

The Lord is saying, “I am the God who sees. I am the God who hears the intense petitions within your heart! I see the pain and abuse you have walked through, my child. You have said in your heart, ‘I have forgiven them and moved on.’ This may be so, but I see the wounds that remain. Today is the day of your freedom! I am restoring your compassion for the lost, wounded, and sick, and reigniting your faith. Your time of birthing is near. Let me expose the scars and heal your wounds! My strength is made perfect in your weakness. Your season of barrenness has made you a lightning rod for my glory to be revealed and my power displayed through you. I will cause you, like Hannah of old, to birth forth my vision. From loss will bloom life more significant than yourself. From brokenness, healing will flow.”

Many have suffered through trials like those Hannah endured.

But the desire to remain pure before the Lord produced an inner longing and humble heart. Know this: the humble will be exalted. The Father is far more concerned with our godly character, love for others, and devotion to Him than our success before men.

As you heal, you will see that the Lord is stretching out your tent pegs! His plans for you are to mature and not harm you. The tension has increased your capacity to rightly handle His promise. You will find yourself in His powerful grace receiving beauty for ashes.

“Shout for joy, O barren woman, who bears no children; break forth into song and cry aloud, you who have never travailed; because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband,” says the LORD. “Enlarge the site of your tent, stretch out the curtains of your dwellings, do not hold back. Lengthen your ropes and drive your stakes deep. For you will spread out to the right and left; your descendants will dispossess the nations and inhabit the desolate cities.” – Isaiah 54:1–3

The season of barrenness made you a lightning rod for God’s glory!

God, not the enemy, had closed Hannah’s womb. God was the One she had to pursue; the throne was where her appeal was made. So it has been with many who are passionate about awakening, revival, and a genuine move of God.

He has been delivering us from needing the approval of man, purifying our desires, and calling His people higher.

He has been preparing His people, like Hannah, to birth something that would change the nation and glorify Him alone.

Prayers are not pretty or peaceful when we are passionate for God to do something beyond our control. Hannah’s prayers were not religious, but they were pure. She was not drunk with wine but intoxicated with longing. Her cries were for the gaze of the Lord, not her husband, not the priest, and not her rival! Her intercessions were for God’s leadership and defense and a gift she could consecrate and dedicate to Him alone! (1 Samuel 1:12–16, Romans 8:26.)

Hannah’s barrenness produced a groaning that caused heaven to stop and respond.

In her weakness, His might and power were evident. The Spirit of the Lord knew her heart and mind, and He moved from within her, even moving Eli the priest into agreement with her prayers.

The Lord is forming within His bride, through the stretching, groaning, and purification process of prayer and fasting, more than she could ever ask, think, or imagine. He caused Hannah to cry out for a child who would restore a defiled priesthood. He has formed within His global bride the desire to birth an undefiled movement that will usher in His return.

We have been marked by God to birth something greater than ourselves.

The season of barrenness has been working in us, preparing our character and pressing us into the place of deep intimacy. Our gaze has been set on the Bridegroom King! Beloved, He has seen your pain and is moving to heal the trauma of your barrenness. Weeping may endure for the night, but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5)!

Read Permission to Burn, get back on the mountain God gave you, and take your place in setting this world on fire with love for Jesus in your generation.

The vast majority of true Christians recognize that winning souls is essential. At the same time, too many of us have fallen asleep, or at least have become numb to, the Bridegroom’s alarm to awaken and send us out as laborers in the massive global harvest.

The well-known passage of Scripture, commonly known as the Great Commission, bombarded my soul with deep conviction at The Send in Brazil:

“Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:18-20).

Tears streamed down my face, and sounds that can only be described as wordless groanings moved from my belly and through my vocal cords (see Romans 8:22-27). I felt an indescribable urging from the Spirit of God to rouse  His sons and daughters from their slumber and to send them out as end-time messengers. For an instant, I experienced what He felt and understood His desire to send out a multitude of workers to establish justice on the earth. He invited me to repent on behalf of those who have rejected His commission. He asked me to identify in intercession with the disobedience of generations past and of my nation.

As I wept in repentance over our slumber, He then told me to prophesy to the dry bones of the American Bride to come alive and to declare that she would move in power!

The time of harvest and the Third Great Awakening is upon us. Jesus is sounding the alarm. He is commissioning His messengers and His church with His presence and power like never before. As when one is woken from a deep sleep, he or she will first realize their inactivity and either be agitated and rushed or return to the state of slumber. Repentance will come upon the sleepers, and they will be granted understanding that the prophets who were sent were correct. As awakening takes place, a choice must be made.  His power and coming are upon us. The mark of a church that is genuinely waking up is great and joyful repentance.

As He spoke to me in this encounter, it was as if he were comparing the sleeping American church to the disciples in Mark 16:

“Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were eating; he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him after he had risen. He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name, they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” Mark 16:14-18

These friends and disciples of Jesus followed Him and witnessed the brutal death that He foretold. In their grief and unbelief, they went back to their old routine, eating and hanging out together. Additionally, they had not accepted the message sent to them by the women who witnessed Him resurrected. These foolish women were dreamers, they thought. Suddenly, Jesus shows up and proves His resurrection, then rebukes the men and commissions them! It was time for them to get back in the game!

In Mark’s account, we see Jesus saying more than “go and preach”; He gives them the promise of His presence and movement of power through them. He dispels their fear and vows to protect them from poisoning and other attacks. The emphasis is on sending out and the demonstration of the gospel that they would preach.

Over the past 20-30 years, the Lord has restored the fivefold ministry gifts and birthed a movement of worship and intercession. Now He is shaking His people into action. The ministry gifts were restored to set the foundation for the global harvest, not to give the rest of the body of Christ a pass to disobey the commission of Jesus!

He is showing up as He did in the account of Mark 16. He is reminding us He is alive and that we were saved to finish the task of reaching the unreached with the message with power.  All of us are to heal the sick, raise the dead, and freely give what we have been given. In the coming days, Jesus will show up in our gatherings; we will be shocked at our own unbelief as the alarm sounds. Once again, we will realize that He is not dead but alive!

Indeed, the revival streams are coming together, but more than that, the global Bride is being awakened. The fiery revival that is striking the nations has only begun. The fullness of the gentiles is coming in, and the chosen Israel will soon be provoked to jealousy and receive her Bridegroom Messiah (Romans 11:11, 25-26).

We get to be a part of this!

Will you wake up, repent, and answer the call?

Will you believe?

Will you go?

When Hannah couldn’t conceive in the natural, she became a lightning rod for Heaven’s Dream.

“…But to Hannah, he would give a double portion, for he loved her even though the LORD had closed her womb. Because the LORD had closed Hannah’s womb, her rival would provoke her and taunt her severely. And this went on year after year. Whenever Hannah went up to the house of the LORD, her rival taunted her until she wept and would not eat.…” (1 Samuel 1:5-7)

When you are called to birth something that can only glorify God, you will endure evident barrenness and provocation from your adversary. You will suffer accusations from friends, family, and religious leaders in your life. The torment of seeming fruitlessness can cause you abandon desire for earthly blessing. Hannah’s husband could not comfort her with carnal love or even a double-portion blessing.

Let the barrenness stretch you.

Friend, yield to the season. The plans of the Lord are going to blow your mind!

That’s Easier said than done, right?

We must understand as we walk through this valley that our adversary is not flesh and blood, but “Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world.” (1 Peter 5:8-9, ESV)

We are in a war, but not against people. (Ephesians 6:12)

Be careful to not attack the attackers. Cry out for a humble and pure heart. The humble will be exalted.

Lord is stretching out your tent pegs dear burning one! His plans for you are to mature not harm. The stretching increases your capacity to handle more.

Shout for joy, O barren woman, who bears no children; break forth into song and cry aloud, you who have never travailed; because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband,” says the LORD. Enlarge the site of your tent, stretch out the curtains of your dwellings, do not hold back. Lengthen your ropes and drive your stakes deep For you will spread out to the right and left; your descendants will dispossess the nations and inhabit the desolate cities.…” Isaiah 54:1-3

Let the barren season refine you.

  • God had closed Hannah’s womb. Not the enemy.
  • God was the One she had to pursue, the throne  was where her appeal was made.
  • Rebuking and binding, warring, and fighting the rival would not work in this circumstance.
  • He was calling Her higher.
  • He was preparing her to birth, something that would change the nation.
  • He was delivering her from needing the approval of man.
  • He was purifying her desires.

The Hannah Cry is an Ugly Cry

9-10 One time, after they had finished their meal in the house of the Lord at Shiloh, Hannah got up. She was deeply distressed, and she cried bitterly as she prayed to the Lord. Meanwhile, Eli, the priest, was sitting in his place by the door. 11 Hannah made a solemn promise: “Lord Almighty, look at me, your servant! See my trouble and remember me! Don’t forget me! If you give me a son, I promise that I will dedicate him to you for his whole life and that he will never have his hair cut.”

Her prayers were not pretty or peaceful. They were not religious but neither were they impure. She was not drunk with wine but intoxicated with longing. The priest thought she was drunk. Her cries were for the gaze of the eyes of the Lord, not her husband, not the priest, and not her rival! Her cries were for His leadership, His defense, and a gift that she could consecrate and dedicate to Him-alone!  (See 1 Samuel 1:12-16)

Have you ever groaned and cried out in intercession and been misunderstood? It’s a glorious experience to be misunderstood because of  longing for Heaven’s vision to be manifest in the earth.

Right?! ( I can hear you shaking your head, NO!)

Well, it will be later! Hold on just a little longer.

These groanings impregnate us for the will of God!

…25But if we hope for what we do not yet see, we wait for it patiently. 26In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know how we ought to pray, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans too deep for words. And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.…” Romans 8:2

Hannah’s barrenness produced a wreckless groan that caused Heaven to stop and respond. In her weakness He was made strong. The Spirit of the Lord knew her heart and mind and He moved from within her.  Eli, the priest rebuked her. But,  he took notice and eventually came into agreement with her prayers!

When Hannah couldn’t conceive in the natural, she became a lightning rod for Heaven’s dream.

The Lord struck Hannah with His dream through the stretching, groaning, and purification process of prayer and fasting. He was forming within her more than she could ever ask, think or imagine.  Soon her mourning would be turned to joy.

Then Eli answered, “Go in peace, and the God of Israel grant your petition that you have made to him.” And she said, “Let your servant find favor in your eyes.” Then the woman went her way and ate, and her face was no longer sad. They rose early in the morning and worshiped before the Lord; then they went back to their house at Ramah. And Elkanah knew Hannah his wife, and the Lord remembered her. And in due time Hannah conceived and bore a son, and she called his name Samuel, for she said, “I have asked for him from the Lord.”

Beloved, do you have a Goan like Hannah’s? You are not alone!  You have been marked by God to birth something greater that yourself.  Allow the season of bareness to have it’s work in you! Allow the groan to prepare your character and press you into the place of deep intimacy. Place your gaze on the Bridegroom God! Weeping may endure for the night but joy comes in the morning!( Psalm 30:5b) Keep groaning!

“In the same way that the Bridegroom, Jesus, was born from the womb of a woman, so will it be with the awakening of His love-sick bride in these last days. The first birth was the physical birth of Jesus into the world, but the second is a spiritual emergence of the global bridal identity.”

In 2015 in an encounter with the Lord he spoke to me the statement above. His words caused a deep groan to be released from deep within my soul!

In light of the McAuthur whirlwind I couldn’t be more thankful to begin seeing how much fruit is coming from his attacks on the daughters of God! The Lord never waists a drop of our suffering!

I hear a sound coming from the depths of the souls of this company of people. They are beautifully adorned with the glory of the Father. They are His daughters and His sons—those who identify as His bride—His radiant ones. They were born to blow the trumpet and birth a movement. I prophesy to you today that these voices have been silenced for far too long. They have been choked out by religious and political fear and the twisting of the Scriptures, which makes this moment all the sweeter.

Freedom and reconciliation are the ministry of Jesus. The Bride is made up of every race and nationality—male and female, young and old. He loves to use what the world deems foolish to surprise those who think themselves the wisest in the political, religious, and worldly systems. Like Mary, the mother of Jesus, who “treasured all these things, pondering them in her heart” (Luke 2:19) after the angel visited her, these silenced voices have also pondered the unseen and unheard in their hearts, as they encounter heaven in prayer. They are no longer concerned with being validated by the religious systems. They have found validation in the Father. They have fallen in love with One whose throne is far above any earthly system.

I feel God saying to these,

It was not a vain desire, to want to speak what you have seen and heard. It was not yet time to blow the trumpet. I was forming a movement in your spiritual wombs—a bridal revelation is soon to be birthed. I have been developing a countercultural purity in your messages. The next move of reconciliation with be between male and female in my body. Men who will bless female voices are stepping out of the shadows. They will be like Mordecais to my Esthers. Then the bridal movement will begin.

The time is now.

Reconciliation and Revelation through Sons and Daughters

The growing longing for the Bridegroom has caused many to weep and wail in dark corners and caves. They cry out for the dreams He has wrought in them to be born, yet we must see that He has hidden them as jewels for true reconciliation to be realized in its time, so the promise might come to birth. He is wielding an unspeakable gift in His bride’s innermost being—dreams conceived in His daughters, only to be overlooked or deemed illegitimate in the name of religion. In the face of this, many women have left Christianity to go after the counterfeit feminist movement. As the tide begins to turn, women will find their true freedom and identity in Christ.

In this hour, God has placed a trumpet to the mouths of the women who were willing to draw close to His heart, just as He did for Mary and Elizabeth—He protected them even during times of religious shaming as they prepared to birth the long-awaited promises of the forerunner and Deliverer. He even silenced Zachariah for a season so that not one word that was not of the Lord would be spoken over Elizabeth’s baby John. Like Elizabeth and Mary, many women have not rebelled against God in their pain but instead held tightly to the horns of the altar.

God has given these daughters secret heavenly revelation and wisdom; soon they will be released to shout it from rooftops (see Luke 12:3). Once the great company of daughters begins to speak, people—even those who think themselves wise—will recognize that these messages transcend human wisdom. “The Lord gives the command; the women who proclaim the good tidings are a great host” (Psalm 68:11). Restoration and reconciliation between the sons and daughters could be the greatest catalysts to culture transforming and awakening.

Mary knew she would birth something beyond her wildest dreams, and she pondered this in her heart (see Luke 2:19). For many years, women of every age and every race have longed to please their beloved Bridegroom. They have been willing to do whatever is necessary, even in silence, to bring His dwelling place and His presence to their homes, churches, and the earth. Revival history reveals how the Father used women and other minority groups to bring radical moves of His Spirit in previous generations because of their dedication to intercession.

Many today are content to believe that being hidden warriors is their mandate.

However, something in them still groans to give birth and raise up the things they have ached and travailed for. These life bearers are full of wisdom and revelation, and they hold within them messages from heaven that will change the face of the earth.

The Father longs to birth through them His image of perfect love, sacred bridal romance, and, ultimately, the bridal identity.

We have heard the message of sonship—we are no longer orphans but children of God, but identifying as the bride of Christ has still been somewhat hidden and vaguely understood. Longing a bridal paradigm to be known is not limited to the daughters of God. For many years, amazing teachers like Mike Bickle (the founder of the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, MO) and others have plowed the trail in intercession and tears for the body of Christ to better understand this revelation.

Soon, an unheard facet of the wonder of the Bridegroom will be released as women receive the blessing to sound the alarm. True sons of God are beginning to recognize that the righteous and pure identity of the church depends on the daughters coming out of hiding to teach, preach, and prophesy about the facets of His beauty that they ponder deep within their hearts.

A company of men is emerging that is protecting and promoting women now more than ever.

Humanism wanted to destroy biblical family, but the Lord is putting it on display as He reconciles men and women in Himself. The unbridled flow of men and women ministering together will multiply the fruit of the gospel in the nations. Just as a man cannot conceive and bear a child alone, neither can he conceive, bear, and raise up the vision of heaven alone. Just as a woman cannot conceive and carry a child in her womb of her own accord, neither can she strengthen and grow this heavenly dream she carries alone once it is born.

Men of God, you have God’s permission to arise and step into the bliss of reigning with and promoting the Lord’s daughters. In the beginning, God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone” (Gen. 2:18). Adam was not capable of carrying out his commission to rule over the earth without Eve, nor was Eve capable without Adam.  The same is true today. In His goodness, God created male and female to work together as one in the Spirit, just as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are one.

In 2015, I had an encounter with the Lord during which He spoke these words to me:

In the same way that the Bridegroom, Jesus, was born from the womb of a woman, so will it be with the awakening of His love-sick bride in these last days. The first birth was the physical birth of Jesus into the world, but the second is a spiritual emergence of the global bridal identity.

This encounter revealed the Father’s desire to impregnate His daughters with, and have them give birth to, His dream of the wonder of unity between Jesus the Bridegroom and His bride in the last days. Sons will begin to access levels of encounter, gripping intercession, and the wonder of the man Jesus in ways they never have before, as His daughters begin to ooze His glory.

This revelation reveals His plan to bring about the greater glory and the latter rain. Transformation will take place in the body of Christ that goes beyond the business of doing ministry and dives deeply into the beauty of being His ministry on the earth. Suddenly the church will experience the gripping of His love-sick longing for heart-to-heart connection with His bride.

Daughters are graced to carry the heavy glory of the bridal cry. His bride is His passion. The pure fire of His jealousy for her rages in His eyes.

His sons are anointed with understanding of His jealous love and passion unto death.

The convergence of these parts of revelation is a force hell can’t stand against. We come a little closer to maturity in our knowing Him and knowing ourselves in Him.

“For we know in part and we prophesy in part; but when the perfect comes the partial will be done away. . . . For now we see in a mirror dimly but then face to face; now I know in part but then I will know fully just as I am fully known” (1 Corinthians 13:9–10,12)

I am merely scratching the surface of this paradigm, or heavenly blueprint, of the bride and Bridegroom reigning as one. Truthfully, the revelation is not about gender but about Jesus and His unified church. So let us press forward through the elementary teachings, as Paul the apostle might say, and into the greater revelation. Consecration and unity between men and women of all nationalities and ages are essential to the coming move of God. As we allow this work to take place in the body of Christ, humanism-based identity confusion will be crushed.

As one, we will uproot the lies in the body so we can become the glorious bride. As the daughters of God gain permission to speak, we will hear and see our Father’s kingdom message more clearly. The daughters of God were made to manifest a demand for consecration and passionate intimacy that demands a response from heaven.

Together, let us repent of the bondage we have walked in and be reconciled by His grace. Daughters of all ages, nationalities, and skin tones, you were born for such a time as this. You were created to be birthers of all the living. Birth the living Word and dreams of your Father in heaven. You were made to birth a revolution that manifests an identity of the church, which has long been overlooked and misunderstood. It’s time for a bridal awakening!

The Worship of a Burning Heart

It is the presence of God that changes people—not our services.

“One thing I have asked from the  Lord, that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of the  Lord  all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord and to meditate in His temple,” (Psalm 27:4 NASB).

Even in all of David’s failure, he resolved his life to one thing; just one thing. I mean, he was a king! He just asked to dwell in the house of the Lord, gaze upon the beauty of the Lord, and meditate in His temple for the rest of his life.

When we sit in an atmosphere of pure authentic worship, not mere musical entertainment, we are transformed and begin to hunger for more. He is drawing us into deeper proximity to His heart. He longs to take us into a place where we’re not just looking to gaze upon the next big thing; the next thing that we want, or something that will feed our flesh. He’s training us, our generation, to learn how to focus our hearts on things of His Kingdom and focus on Him like we never have before! Right now, the Lord of Glory has released a spiritual desire to catch us up into a place where we will begin to long for that one thing that we never knew existed.

That One Thing

This man, King David, before Messiah was sent, gained the revelation, that in all of his setbacks and in all of his successes, it boiled down to setting his life focus on “one thing” (Psalm 27:4). This one thing consumed all else. All he wanted was to gaze on the beauty of THE LORD all the days of his life. He longed and desired to build a dwelling place for the Lord in the land of Israel. He was ruined with the holy desire and insatiable hunger to solely look at the beauty of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. He knew there was a King that was greater! He knew there was a Lord that far exceeded his own lordship. David wanted to give the rightful King the throne above His own.

In Psalm 110:1 he declares, “The LORD said to my lord: ‘Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.’” In Matthew 22:44, Jesus quotes this verse in a discussion with the Pharisees in order to prove that the Messiah is more than David’s son; He is David’s Lord and David knew this deeply.

I believe with everything in me that there is a depth of the holy, beauty, fire, and of holy hunger in which David longed for, that is for available to us. David could only prophesy of what we have access to in Christ today. The Father wants close proximity to mankind. He wants closeness in a way that we can’t imagine. I believe our level of pursuit of this closer proximity to Him actually determines the level of our tangible intimacy with Him.

If we’re not willing to come close, then we will always be standing on the sidelines looking at others who are coming close and saying, “Why not me?” He did everything that we ever needed Him to do when He came down and gave His life for us. He died, resurrected, ascended and gave us full access to be filled with His own Holy Spirit so that we could to come close. That part of the work is finished. We just have to hunger and drawn near to Him. We must ask for more than we have at this present moment, every day.

You Don’t Need An Instrument to Worship-You are One!

David had 4,288 musicians and singers set up day and night, playing songs in intercession and worship in a tent (See 1 Chronicles 16). This non-stop atmosphere of worship must have been powerful. Even though it was his personal desire, David stored up money and materials his whole life for his son, Solomon to build the temple because God told David that it would be his son who built it (2 Samuel 7; 1 Chronicles 28:3). I have personally longed for the same things as David but I understand legacy! I want to build a place for the Lord. I want to gaze on His beauty all the days of my life! I want to host His presence day and night in my city. I want to see Him King and Lord over my city, state, nation, and world! I believe this is His desire also and just as David was able to host Him in a tent, so can we—but in a much closer way! 1 Corinthians 6:19 says, “Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?” We have the glory of God ever-present in and with us in a way that King David merely dreamed of. The Spirit and the presence of God Himself has made us His temple. When He poured out His Spirit in Acts 2, He put Himself into us so that we could be in non-stop communion with Him. We don’t have to have an instrument to worship, because we are one.

We Are the Sound!

I believe God wants us to know that we are the sound! You and I are His instruments of worship!  If you haven’t experienced encountering Him outside of church or a service in which someone else is leading you into worship, just ask, and get ready! Surrender and entering into a depth that we’ve not previously experienced calls into learning how to be okay with awkward, silent moments.

As soon as we get comfortable, He is going to make us uncomfortable because there’s more. There is a higher place of knowing Him that we are going after. As soon as we think we’ve got it figured out, He is going to show us that we don’t, because He wants us to get into that place of lifelong increasing revelation of Him. We were created to be in constant communion with Him; now and for eternity. This means we get to learn more of His unsearchable beauty forever. The angels that are seated around the throne are constantly saying, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God almighty, who was and is and is to come” as they look upon His beauty because they are in a place of revelation all of the time (Revelation 4:8). They never get bored and life around the throne never gets mundane for them. I am amazed that He created us to know Him and gain even greater revelation of Himself than the angels in heaven (1 Peter 1:12; 1 Corinthians 6:3).

In order for us to be able to ascend into that place of knowing God in a greater way, than even the burning ones around the throne of God-we have to begin to hunger for more than a mental understanding of the written word of God.  The spiritual revelation of His heart, mind, and character are essential elements to knowing Him personally.  Prayer, scripture study, worship, being still and listening for His voice are important disciplines in the life of the follower of Christ.  All of this develops depth into sustainable spiritual growth. The angelic hosts of heaven know His amazing holiness is real and unsearchable. We too must know that there is more than cerebral knowledge of Him. The experience of knowing Him spirit to Spirit is extremely important. He’s given us the ability to know His worth and power contained in “The Word” who is the person of Christ.

Silencing Distractions Could Take us into Highest Place of Wonder

Some of the most powerful encounters I have ever had with the Lord happened when I forced my mind to be still. I turned off all of the electronics, and yes even the music, and listened for His whisper. It takes a little while to learn to be still in your mind and tune your ears to His voice in this crazy world, but it’s a discipline of one who hungers. Prayer both in tongues and in the your native language is powerful and should be a practiced daily! I encourage you like the Apostle Paul to pray in the heavenly language of intercession (tongues) often and for, at the very least, 20 minutes a day when you are starting out. I also encourage you to learn the discipline of being still and listening to His reply.

Truthfully, as we learn the discipline of living life in His presence and in prayer, we learn how to abide in Him and He in us (John 15). We will begin bearing Spiritual fruit in abundance. We will be able to sit in a room with absolute silence or in a room with crazy chaos and be with Him. We can learn such a lifestyle of proximity to Him that we can be in a place where others are leading a worship gathering and we are on the floor helping bring people closer to Him without touching a stage or microphone. We will learn how to abide in our heavenly seat that Paul talks about in Ephesians 6:2, “we are seated with Him in heavenly places,” and we become fully active in our HOLY spiritual existence.

As we live this way, we are made free of being dependent on another person to take us into His presence. We just abide there. The supernatural grace of God is falling upon His people right now in such a way that we are able explore places of His heart  that no other generation has known. He has given us access, but He has also called us to lay down the distractions and cares of the world on a daily basis in order to enter into this place of deep relationship. Many have been so frustrated with their life and relationship with God recently. This is because He has been allowing the rubbing, pressing, and stripping away of temporal pleasures to prepare us for the deeper knowledge of Him. We must know that there is a greater responsibility to carry out the plans of His heart as we begin to understand the deeper revelation that He’s giving to us.

“The Lord our God has secrets to no one. We are not accountable for them, but we and our children are accountable forever for all that he has revealed to us, so that we may obey all the terms of these instructions.” (Deut. 29:29, NLT)

“When someone is given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted  with much, even more will be required.” (Luke 12:48, NLT)

Is Your Heart Burning?

And no, I am not talking about the kind of heart-burn that is caused by what you ate for dinner! That’s acid reflux. 🤣

The kind of burning I’m talking about causes true pleasure in knowing the Lord personally and knowing that He knows you inside and out!
The kind of burning that I’m talking about is the feeling of passion and being alive in the depths of your being. I am speaking of Christian living that is more than going to church once a week and putting up with the person in the seat next to you! Our Father in heaven LONGS for us to live with a heart that is alive and on fire for Him!

Did you know that the Aramaic word for love literally means, to burn with passion? For some this is a new concept, but you can feel the desire stirring up in you to know Him this way and some of you have found yourself burning with passion, now more than ever before, to get closer to the One called Love!

Either way, you’re in good company! This burning heart phenomenon was experienced by Jesus’ downtrodden disciples when Jesus appeared to them in His resurrected body:

Then their eyes were opened and they recognized Him; and He vanished from their sight. They said to one another, ‘Were not our hearts burning within us while He was speaking to us on the road, while He was explaining the Scriptures to us?’ And they got up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem, and found gathered together the eleven and those who were with them. Luke 24:31-33

Hopelessness and Despair Brings Hope
The disciples on the road to Emmaus were broken and hurt. They didn’t understand why Jesus had died. We can practically hear their thoughts as we read the story in Luke 24. They wonder, We thought Jesus was our Messiah, and now He’s gone—dead. What do we do now? There’s nowhere to go. So, they give up and go back to their old lives as fishermen. But then, there He is—Jesus in His glorified body. Yet, they have no idea who He is. He asks them what is bothering them, and in amazement, as though this stranger lives under a rock, they ask, “Do you not know?”
He continues to talk with the brokenhearted disciples for a while, explaining the importance of the crucifixion; eventually, He disappears. The disciples look at one another and recognize that deep, inner burning in their hearts, and they say, “Oh! It was Him! It was Him!”

How did they know?

Their hearts burned within them. All of a sudden, they experienced the fellowship of the burning hearts. And in that place of intimacy and revelation, even in their brokenness, Jesus came. Jesus showed up in His glorified body, but because of their overwhelming emotions, they didn’t recognize Him. They were focused on earthly things instead of heavenly things. Instead of rebuking them, Jesus came into their brokenness and encountered them in His glorified body, causing their hearts to burn. Suddenly, they began to remember what it was like to be with Him. They knew it had to be Him.

It Had to Be Him!
The disciples knew they had been with Him because of the physical, emotional, and spiritual burning that continued even after He vanished. This burning heart phenomenon also happened to the prophets of old, like David, Moses, Isaiah, and Jeremiah. David’s heart burned with passion for the Lord (Ps. 39:3). He desired one thing and was called a “man after God’s own heart” (Ps. 27:4; 1 Sam. 13:4, Acts 13:22). Moses talked to God face to face and breath to breath (Ex. 33:11, 18; Num. 12:8). Isaiah’s fiery encounter in Isaiah 6 with the coal to his lips transformed him from fearful and timid to bold and fearless (Is. 6:6-13). Jeremiah had fire in his heart and bones that compelled him to be true to his commission, even if it meant death (Jer. 20:9). But to these disciples, this was an awakening to the deep inner witness and recognition of the One with whom they were walking—the Christ.

What To Do With The Burning
Many find themselves feeling like they are of a few with this burning on the inside, not knowing what to do with it. I encourage you to keep on praying, worshipping, and intimately encountering the Lord! Pray about and find a local chuch expression of other burning ones with whom you can fellowship. The Lord will connect you with other burning hearts!

So many of us are going through difficult times on the earth right now and our burdens appear to be more than we can bear. Now more than ever, seeing beyond the situation is necessary to endure whatever we are going through. Jesus was such an amazing example to follow.

He went through severe mental and physical torment.

They attacked His identity as the Son of God and King of the Jews by placing a crown of thorns on His head. He was taunted, spit on, His beard was pulled out of His face, beaten until He was so disfigured that He didn’t even look like a human, and nailed to a cross. How was He able go through that?

The moment I wrote that paragraph,

I immediately had a vision of Jesus on the way to Golgotha.

I was seeing through His eyes and experienced some of what He experienced.

As I was weeping, I did my best to type what I saw, heard and felt:

“I can’t see.
Blood is running in my eyes.
My eyes are burning.
I try to open them.
They are swollen shut.
My head hurts so bad.
I am so tired, I can hardly move.
I’m trying to drag this cross.
My body is burning from the beatings.
It is getting harder to breathe.
I have lost so much blood.
My heart is failing.
I am so cold,
But I am sweating.
I hear laughing.
I hear yelling.
I hear screaming.
I hear cursing.
I hear mother wailing.
Oh, Father, they know not what they do.
Father, are you there?
Where are you?
Why can’t I hear you?
I feel so alone.
Keep moving.
I am almost there.
It is almost finished.
Soon, my Bride will be one with Me!
Oh, the joy!
I would do anything to be with her!”

Hebrews 12:2 tells us how He endured the cross—by the joy set before Him.

What was the joy set before Him?

The joy of us being one with Him, He being seated at the right hand of the throne of God, returning to the Father. The joy of bringing deliverance, healing, freedom, and good news to the human race. The joy of conquering death, hell and the grave for the love of His life; His bride. The joy of giving Himself for us to have that position—that seat of victory with Him at the right hand of the throne of God.

Tammie Southerland passionately expresses this point in time, saying, “In this painful, yet joyful moment when Jesus sees our faces, He is in the agonizing climax of the crucifixion! In that moment when He gives His life, His longing to rescue her is finished!” She exclaims, “Each of us individually must hear these words resounding in our hearts, ‘You are His joy! It was your face He saw! You were the joy set before Him when He endured the cross!’”

She declared recently in a Facebook post:

I hear the Lord saying, “Come Up Here!”

“Come up here and see what I see! Rise above the junk and see from my perspective!”
Ephesians 2:6 says that we have been given a seat with Him in heavenly places!
We were not created or given salvation to continue to wallow in a mess or even to fight our battles in the flesh! We have been called to ascend and agree with Jesus as HE prays for us from the victorious, heavenly perspective!

Rise up and pray!

Not from the place of defeat or struggle, but from the heavenly place of victory!!
He has invited us to respond!

Say this: “Father God! I submit my wrestle with the things of this world and rise Higher! I take my seat with Jesus! Help me to see what you see and pray what you are praying! I receive peace and a new perspective! I receive victory in You!
AMEN!”
