The vast majority of true Christians recognize that winning souls is essential. At the same time, too many of us have fallen asleep, or at least have become numb to, the Bridegroom’s alarm to awaken and send us out as laborers in the massive global harvest.

The well-known passage of Scripture, commonly known as the Great Commission, bombarded my soul with deep conviction at The Send in Brazil:

“Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:18-20).

Tears streamed down my face, and sounds that can only be described as wordless groanings moved from my belly and through my vocal cords (see Romans 8:22-27). I felt an indescribable urging from the Spirit of God to rouse  His sons and daughters from their slumber and to send them out as end-time messengers. For an instant, I experienced what He felt and understood His desire to send out a multitude of workers to establish justice on the earth. He invited me to repent on behalf of those who have rejected His commission. He asked me to identify in intercession with the disobedience of generations past and of my nation.

As I wept in repentance over our slumber, He then told me to prophesy to the dry bones of the American Bride to come alive and to declare that she would move in power!

The time of harvest and the Third Great Awakening is upon us. Jesus is sounding the alarm. He is commissioning His messengers and His church with His presence and power like never before. As when one is woken from a deep sleep, he or she will first realize their inactivity and either be agitated and rushed or return to the state of slumber. Repentance will come upon the sleepers, and they will be granted understanding that the prophets who were sent were correct. As awakening takes place, a choice must be made.  His power and coming are upon us. The mark of a church that is genuinely waking up is great and joyful repentance.

As He spoke to me in this encounter, it was as if he were comparing the sleeping American church to the disciples in Mark 16:

“Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were eating; he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him after he had risen. He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name, they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” Mark 16:14-18

These friends and disciples of Jesus followed Him and witnessed the brutal death that He foretold. In their grief and unbelief, they went back to their old routine, eating and hanging out together. Additionally, they had not accepted the message sent to them by the women who witnessed Him resurrected. These foolish women were dreamers, they thought. Suddenly, Jesus shows up and proves His resurrection, then rebukes the men and commissions them! It was time for them to get back in the game!

In Mark’s account, we see Jesus saying more than “go and preach”; He gives them the promise of His presence and movement of power through them. He dispels their fear and vows to protect them from poisoning and other attacks. The emphasis is on sending out and the demonstration of the gospel that they would preach.

Over the past 20-30 years, the Lord has restored the fivefold ministry gifts and birthed a movement of worship and intercession. Now He is shaking His people into action. The ministry gifts were restored to set the foundation for the global harvest, not to give the rest of the body of Christ a pass to disobey the commission of Jesus!

He is showing up as He did in the account of Mark 16. He is reminding us He is alive and that we were saved to finish the task of reaching the unreached with the message with power.  All of us are to heal the sick, raise the dead, and freely give what we have been given. In the coming days, Jesus will show up in our gatherings; we will be shocked at our own unbelief as the alarm sounds. Once again, we will realize that He is not dead but alive!

Indeed, the revival streams are coming together, but more than that, the global Bride is being awakened. The fiery revival that is striking the nations has only begun. The fullness of the gentiles is coming in, and the chosen Israel will soon be provoked to jealousy and receive her Bridegroom Messiah (Romans 11:11, 25-26).

We get to be a part of this!

Will you wake up, repent, and answer the call?

Will you believe?

Will you go?

Permission to Burn

Is Your Heart Burning?

And no, I am not talking about the kind of heart-burn that is caused by what you ate for dinner! That’s acid reflux. 🤣

The kind of burning I’m talking about causes true pleasure in knowing the Lord personally and knowing that He knows you inside and out!
The kind of burning that I’m talking about is the feeling of passion and being alive in the depths of your being. I am speaking of Christian living that is more than going to church once a week and putting up with the person in the seat next to you! Our Father in heaven LONGS for us to live with a heart that is alive and on fire for Him!

Did you know that the Aramaic word for love literally means, to burn with passion? For some this is a new concept, but you can feel the desire stirring up in you to know Him this way and some of you have found yourself burning with passion, now more than ever before, to get closer to the One called Love!

Either way, you’re in good company! This burning heart phenomenon was experienced by Jesus’ downtrodden disciples when Jesus appeared to them in His resurrected body:

Then their eyes were opened and they recognized Him; and He vanished from their sight. They said to one another, ‘Were not our hearts burning within us while He was speaking to us on the road, while He was explaining the Scriptures to us?’ And they got up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem, and found gathered together the eleven and those who were with them. Luke 24:31-33

Hopelessness and Despair Brings Hope
The disciples on the road to Emmaus were broken and hurt. They didn’t understand why Jesus had died. We can practically hear their thoughts as we read the story in Luke 24. They wonder, We thought Jesus was our Messiah, and now He’s gone—dead. What do we do now? There’s nowhere to go. So, they give up and go back to their old lives as fishermen. But then, there He is—Jesus in His glorified body. Yet, they have no idea who He is. He asks them what is bothering them, and in amazement, as though this stranger lives under a rock, they ask, “Do you not know?”
He continues to talk with the brokenhearted disciples for a while, explaining the importance of the crucifixion; eventually, He disappears. The disciples look at one another and recognize that deep, inner burning in their hearts, and they say, “Oh! It was Him! It was Him!”

How did they know?

Their hearts burned within them. All of a sudden, they experienced the fellowship of the burning hearts. And in that place of intimacy and revelation, even in their brokenness, Jesus came. Jesus showed up in His glorified body, but because of their overwhelming emotions, they didn’t recognize Him. They were focused on earthly things instead of heavenly things. Instead of rebuking them, Jesus came into their brokenness and encountered them in His glorified body, causing their hearts to burn. Suddenly, they began to remember what it was like to be with Him. They knew it had to be Him.

It Had to Be Him!
The disciples knew they had been with Him because of the physical, emotional, and spiritual burning that continued even after He vanished. This burning heart phenomenon also happened to the prophets of old, like David, Moses, Isaiah, and Jeremiah. David’s heart burned with passion for the Lord (Ps. 39:3). He desired one thing and was called a “man after God’s own heart” (Ps. 27:4; 1 Sam. 13:4, Acts 13:22). Moses talked to God face to face and breath to breath (Ex. 33:11, 18; Num. 12:8). Isaiah’s fiery encounter in Isaiah 6 with the coal to his lips transformed him from fearful and timid to bold and fearless (Is. 6:6-13). Jeremiah had fire in his heart and bones that compelled him to be true to his commission, even if it meant death (Jer. 20:9). But to these disciples, this was an awakening to the deep inner witness and recognition of the One with whom they were walking—the Christ.

What To Do With The Burning
Many find themselves feeling like they are of a few with this burning on the inside, not knowing what to do with it. I encourage you to keep on praying, worshipping, and intimately encountering the Lord! Pray about and find a local chuch expression of other burning ones with whom you can fellowship. The Lord will connect you with other burning hearts!

Today, after almost two weeks of rain and “Historical Flooding”, the sun is shining in South Carolina! However, they tell us that the dams are continuing to break and that the flooding is not over. Water from the mountains is still trickling down, and more barriers are expected to break.

But I hear the Lord saying,SC you are here for a reason

“Barriers have been broken, and they are correct in saying more barriers will break! This flood was only the beginning! Barriers made by man’s hands will no longer stand against what I am doing in MY South Carolina!
From the mountains to the sea, they will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living!
Out of the wilderness places, I am flushing out my beloved ones; they are coming with fire!
Even as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be with you. The flood brought cleansing and was a promise fulfilled….Many have been crying out for My reign!

Noah cried out (warned) the people and for 100 years he prepared a place of refuge. The rain came, but after the rain the sun came, and with it the rainbow, the sign of the covenant!
The rain fell, and the flood came, but I tell you this: a company of Ark Builders is yet arising! They are my sons and daughters who are proclaiming and preparing for My return!”

“So, you too, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near, right at the door.” (Matthew 24:33)

The Water A Sign & Covenant

fire rainbow

“This water was a sign of things to come!

NOW I am making a covenant with you, South Carolina and with North Carolina!
I am making a covenant with you! I am making a covenant with this generation, and it comes with a promise! It’s a promise of My return!

“Lift up your heads, O gates, And lift them up, O ancient doors, That the King of glory may come in!” Psalm 24:9

My Bride will arise without spot or blemish, and every knee will bow and every tongue proclaim the Name above all Names, Jesus!

Carolina will be a voice to the nations! She will not be satisfied with lukewarm Christianity. She will be pure and will passionately pursue my heart!
She is washed with water, but soon she will be baptized with Holy Spirit and Holy fire! (Matthew 3:11).

You have seen the promised rain, but I am about to release Holy Fire!
My promise is true! As She unites, She will no longer be called ‘A State of Division,’ but She will be called ‘A State of Intercession.’ She will no longer be known as the state that pioneered oppression and division, but one who will pioneer freedom!
She will be a state flooded with my glory and who burns with desire for Me! As hearts become unified with each other and with Mine, My glory will fill her dry ravines.
Just as the ‘bow…in the clouds’ was a sign of a covenant promise, the time will come when I will fulfill my promise to return in my glory in the clouds (Genesis 9:13, Mark 13:26). My weighty glory and mantle of this promise is upon you, South Carolina!

Watch and wait, for you, my beloved Carolina, will be a voice to the Nation! I will release my fire after the rain! This rain was just a sign of my coming.

The fire of My passion and My glory will burn hotter in my Bride; for I will blow on her with the winds of My Spirit!”

Convergence is Coming e0a77abd-49d3-40e3-ae9e-07c3ad413bf5

“A convergence is coming from east to west! You will be called a ‘House of Prayer’, an ‘Altar of Fire’ and you will be a home to many of my people from different regions.”

As the world grows cold, my people in the Carolinas will burn. As the world rages around you in the coming days, you will host my presence and my peace. You will not be known for the flood, but for the fire!

Therefore, be alert! My messengers are emerging like a flood in this hour! They are bold as lions but meek as lambs. They are full of compassion and love but execute my justice, for they know they are mine! They will speak the truth with the very tone of My voice! Do not reject them, for if you do you, will again become a reproach. They will break the man made religious and political barriers, smash the idols of impurity, and restore My Heart into this land! He who has an ear let him hear! I am mantling you:

In doing these things, you will no longer be a reproach or a barren land.
Break forth in song oh Carolina. SING, for the barriers are breaking! The night is over, the SON is shining! Let the fire fall and sing! I make a holy covenant with you!”

“Shout for joy, O barren one, you who have borne no child; Break forth into joyful shouting and cry aloud, you who have not travailed; For the sons of the desolate one will be more numerous Than the sons of the married woman,” says the LORD. “Enlarge the place of your tent; Stretch out the curtains of your dwellings, spare not; Lengthen your cords And strengthen your pegs.…”
Isaiah 51:1,2

Over the past few weeks I have been hearing the longing of the heart of  Bridegroom Jesus calling to His beloved Bride to be “made ready”(Revelation 19:7). He is longing for her to come back to a place of “first love”  passion  for Him above all else! (Rev. 2:4)

In a time of prayer on August 12th, 2015 I began to experience the awakening and passionate voice of the Lord Jesus speak the words written below.

And He said to me “Write the message my beloved and release this longing of Mine! Make ready my Bride; call her to AWAKEN to me in this hour”

This message is an out-cry to the church and to those whom He is raising up to be end time voices in this hour!

Who Has Bewitched You?

I hear Him saying:

“I am the rewarder of those who diligently seek me (Heb. 11:6)! Return to me ( Joel 2:12) and seek Me with all of your heart and you will find me.

They say their churches are for the seekers but I say that they are houses of lukewarmness-a mixture of hot and cold.  The hot gets put out and the cold just barely warmed.  The fire of the longing ones is doused.  Lamps “without oil” are sold to the cold hearted.( See Matthew 25)   I will spew them out of my mouth in the time of judgement (Rev. 3:16). They are “white washed tombs with dead man’s bones inside”( Matt. 23:27). They are seeking but finding something other than Me. I will not share my glory with another says the Lord.

Oh were are the real seekers?

Where are love-sick-longing ones?

Oh were have you gone?

Oh How I long to gather you like a hen gathers her chicks under her wings” (Matthew 2:37)

Why did you go away on your own way?

Why do you reject my messengers?

Why do you look in all other places?

Who has bewitched you My Beloved? Have you not heard?  Have you not seen? Do you not know?

You are my beloved and I long for you!

I AM  here!

I AM in secret in the secret place (Psalm 91)!

COME!  I AM calling! COME!

Return to the deeds you did at first (Rev. 2:5).

Return to your first Love (Rev. 2:4)! Be ye Holy as I am HOLY (1 Peter 1:16)!

Come away with me while there is yet time! Come! (Song of Solomon 2:10)

A Greater Glory for Laid-Down Lovers

Then I heard The Lord proclaiming!

There are some that have laid it all down in this hour.  They long to be lovers laying  down everything and desiring  to be hidden in MY heart.

I am revealing to them the mysteries of heaven– the jewels of heavenly mysteries that will shake the earth. To you I say: “Pull back and write the very pulse of my heart.  For eye has not seen and ear has not heard the things  that I have in store for those who love Me!

Oh my beloved ones, some of you look for me but do not find me.  You are looking in all the wrong places.   I am in the secret places.  I speaking through the mouths of the unknown ones. Through the ones who hide themselves in my heart and under my wings ( Psalm 91)! I am trumpeting the very beat of my heart from their lungs! Do you hear them?

Most of them  are not on national stages, they are still  hidden like jewels in the cleft of the rocks! The are voices crying out in the wilderness places. But I tell you this -the seasons are changing! They are the ones whom I will use to lead a generation into the promise of My coming.

It is time!  They are being revealed, but be aware all ye peoples, they will follow the very whisper of my voice, yes even the whistle the wind of my Spirit.  They will only go where I tell them to go and say what I say.  They will quickly pull back in the seasons that seem to bring them the most fame. They will arise in times that may seem to cause the most upset not caring about their reputation.  They will not take my Glory says the Lord- for they know there is a greater glory in store! I have put a trumpet to their mouths!

Do you hear them? He who has an ear let him hear what the Spirit says!

They are obedient to deliver the Word in power, in demonstration, but this is merely their adornment says the Lord- for they are lovers of my presence and they are chasers of My Face.

Signs and wonders they do not chase, but they chase after me!

Know this therefore, signs and wonders will chase them down!  Fame is not their desire. They want to take My Name as their own and worldy fame will not phase them! They only  want My presence as their reward and MY Name to be of great fame!

The seasons are changing!

The seasons are changing  and like a whirl wind I AM coming quickly.

In the night- like a thief in the night (1 Thes. 1:2).   I am coming and I will draw all men unto myself.

Come into my chambers, says the Lord.

Who will come?

I am calling you into my chambers! I am calling! COME says the Lord- come to me!

Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done.  Revelation 2:12.

We are in an hour now that the seeker friendly light shows,  hyper grace messages, and social media superstars  will come to a close. They will fade into the pages of history.  All fame and glory belongs to the Lord!

To whom much is given much is required! In this hour we must die to the claim to personal fame and  take HIS Name, but not HIS Glory!   There is a greater glory! The Lamb is coming and His reward is with Him!

Greater! Greater Glory belongs to the Bride than this world can ever give!

Arise out of the caves you lovers! You longing ones, it is time to sound the trumpet!  But make it your hearts cry to say  “May the Lamb receive the reward of His suffering”

Come Lord Jesus! (Rev. 22:17)

The Elite

Chuck McDonald

While preaching this past Sunday morning, I got a revelation.
I was speaking out of the book of Judges, chapter 8 and verse 4.  While working through my message to the church, God began speaking to me about the 300 men God had dwindled Gideon down to in Judges 7.  This is the frustrating, yet exciting moment when God starts giving revelation while speaking.

First of all let’s think about being “Elite”.  Coming from a military background I think of some of the most elite forces on planet earth, (ie.. The Green Beret’s, The Navy SEAL’s, the British SAS as well as others.).   In our natural mindset, to be elite is to be a cut above the rest or hold a position only few attain.  Astronauts, Sports stars, TV/Movie personalities, you know the “Rich and Famous”.

Not so in the Kingdom mindset.  To be the elite in biblical times and most biblical stories are those who were not the best, not the fastest or not the most popular.  Look at the life of David.  A little shepherd boy from nowhere who with the anointing and unction of God on him became an icon in the faith for his heroics against Goliath and the military conquests he had. It’s these kind of men and women who become the “Elite” of the faith.

So again I was talking to the folks about the 300 men God chose for Gideon in Judges 7.  God chose 300 men who scooped water into their hands and drank it instead of those who just plopped down, so to speak, and drink.  I was prophetically speaking about how God was going to get this particular church down to those who will be elite.  Then God showed me something.  In theology we have a principle called representation.  It is where something or someone can be represented by another.  So the thought came.  They were drinking water.   So my spirit went crazy.

What can water represent?  Most often in scripture, using the principle of representation, The Holy Spirit can be represented by water.  Genesis 1, Matthew 3, Mark 1, Luke 3 and John 1, 2 & 4.  So the thought then came to me, God chose men who were handling the Spirit accurately.  Not just flopping around in the glory or with a half-hearted attempt.  Men who took it seriously that “..the same Spirit that raised Christ Jesus from the dead now lives in our mortal bodies.”.   Men who were serious about holy living, consecration, being separate from the world and standing out.

This is the “Elite” force that God is raising up in these last days that is going to usher in the end time revival everyone is praying and prophesying for. It’s this group that will shake each and every city in America with the fire of revival.  A John the Baptist generation that will see His kingdom come and His will being done.  So when we use the word “Elite” or “Remnant”, I believe this is what it is going to look like. A people consecrated and seeking the kingdom of God with all they have.  No other lovers in the way of true, intimate relationship with Jesus.  A deep love affair with the Holy Spirit that they are possessed by Him.  Look out, They’re coming!
